If the existing tile is on cement board the additional height from the Avaire floor may also require an extention on the toilet flange. If youre not sure maybe consult a plumber.

Yes, you can install Avaire over existing tile. Make sure the existing tile is flat and firmly attached. If there are any high-spots, you'll need to knock them down. Or if any low areas, fill with a self-leveling compound.

If you are installing above existing tile, you will be adding roughly 9/16th of an inch to the floor height. Make sure to check clearance for doors and cabinets.

We moved into a new house and the tile in the bathroom is in good shape but not the color we want. Can avaire tile be instaled over the existing tile?
