Vanities and cabinets should never be anchored to floor (unless it's an island). They should be mounted to wall. Expansion/contraction will occur and walls/floors will move in different planes and at different rates.

The main reason is to allow the floor to float, but most vanity cabinets have very little weight and if the cabinet is not anchored to the floor installing Avaire tile under the vanity shouldn't create any problems.I've done it a few times with small vanities with legs that are open to the wall and wasn't concerned about doing it at all.

What is the main purpose to put your bathroom vanity in before you lay your avaire tile.
