Island on tile

I have a 24" X 48" oak island with a corian top. Can I set it on top of Avaire tile without any problem with the weight of the island. I planned to leave it loose and not anchor it so it could be moved

I see no reason why that couln't be done without any problems. If you don't intend to attach the cabinet to the floor then there are no issues.

As long as the cabinet isn't fastened to the floor you're fine, if the cabinet is fastened to the floor you'll want to install around it.
