Ok gang -- installation went ok, despite my worrying about level, etc. Cutting hole for toilet flange was a piece of cake with wet saw: simply drew the arc and then cut triangular wedges, with apex of triangle at the arc line.
Now at the stage of "gobbing"!!!!!!!!!

Oh-oh! I may have started something.

I vote we make "gobbing" a recognized procedure in floating-floor installations.:)
