If you go ahead and buy the tile now you won't go wrong as long as you are sure to buy enough.
The only issue I see is where the tile splices later you will have to consider that when you terminate the tile now.
If you can simply leave the tile whole (tabs and all) at what will be the future splice-line then no problem to continue later.
