More subfloor questions

Hello I have an older home and to be honest in the intrest of saving both time and money I want to install a nice tile floor in the kitchen. I tore up all the old laminate and I now have a 3/4 inch thick hardwood surface to work with. My question is will this work as the subfloor for the avaire tiles? It isn't very even as it is very old but it is very sturdy. Thanks
